I am currently a senior graphic arts major with a concentration in Design and a Marketing minor at Taylor University. However, my graphic art journey began my senior year of high school where I attended FWCS Career Academy and took an Interactive Media class that allowed me to get a taste of using visual creative programs. Earlier on I took art classes all through high school and regularly enjoyed helping build sets for school plays. I’m extremely passionate about creating designs and art that are fun, detailed, unique, and unexpected. Going above and beyond is something I strive to accomplish in the pieces I create.
In 2023, the Taylor University Metcalf Open Gallery for students featured my pieces in the show, one of which I was honored to receive first place in photography. In 2024 I received 3rd place in design and two purchase prizes, and in 2025 was honored to receive the 2nd place award in design.
While at Taylor University, I have been expanding my art skills and learning new programs and methods to further my practice of Design. I am knowledgeable in Adobe Creative Cloud programs and have beginner knowledge in Blender, a 3D modeling program. I’m also experienced in photography and commercial photography. Specifically, I excel in computer design work in programs like InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Lightroom Classic, and am certified in Dreamweaver and Animate. Outside of the digital part of art, I have learned traditional art skills in other mediums like Serigraphy and Watercolor.
Outside of school, I worked at a Comic Book Distribution warehouse called Discount Comic Book Service, where I had been developing experience working with a team in organizing and packing orders. While at school I’m building layout and design skills in the yearbook club as a Designer on the team and working working on school projects. These two work experiences have helped build my ability to work with a team in a design and a work setting.
